Who we are

Graveyard Shift Publishing was founded in the quiet hours between exhaustion and dawn—those stolen moments when the rest of the world sleeps and the real work begins.

This press was born from years of writing between warehouse shifts, on breaks, during lunch, in the pre-dawn stillness before the world woke up. What started as a way to survive the grinding nights became something more: a calling to publish stories for people who know what it means to fight for every page, every dream, every tomorrow.

We publish fiction that doesn't look away from the hard truths. Stories about broken people in broken worlds, and the quiet, difficult work of healing both. We're interested in characters who struggle, systems that fail, and the messy, imperfect process of putting the pieces back together.

This isn't publishing for people who want easy comfort or shallow hope. This is for readers who've worked the graveyard shift—literally or metaphorically. Who know that the best stories aren't written in the daylight, but in the margins. Who understand that sometimes the bravest thing you can do is survive until tomorrow.

We publish stories from the margins. Because that's where we're from.
